Rosen Method bodywork is distinguished by its gentle, direct touch. Using hands that listen rather than manipulate, I focus on chronic muscle tension. As relaxation occurs and the breath deepens, unconscious feelings, attitudes, and memories may emerge. I track subtle changes in muscle tension and shifts in the breath. These are indications that the client is relaxing and becoming more aware of his/her body and internal experience. I respond with touch and words that allow the client to begin to recognize what has been held down by unconscious muscle tension.
As this process unfolds, habitual tension and old patterns are released, freeing the client to experience more aliveness, new choices in life, and a surprising sense of well-being.
Rosen Method bodywork helps people find deep knowing based on a physical sense of the self that can guide the choices and actions of their lives. I am interested in helping people find authenticity and in working with clients with family histories of touch abuse or touch deprivation. My work is based on a commitment to transformation and openness to possibilities in people’s lives.
The benefits of Rosen Method bodywork include reduced muscle tension, pain relief and emotional healing.
